A Note From the Editor

We are now able to report odors to the FDEP online. We still need to send an e-mail or call Orange County to report to them.

No Odor Reports Today!

Letters and Correspondence

Good afternoon, REDACTED,

Thank you for your email. The intention of the Weather Log [the weather log is posted near the bottom of this post and there is a link in this e-mail]] was to notify residents of what information is most helpful when reporting their odor concerns to the Department and something they could use to track it accurately if they felt it helped. I understand that not all residents have access to a printer, the excel document can also be filled out on your computer and sent as an attachment. Anyone is still able to email or call DEP directly with any information or concerns they have, with or without the form.

However, for the ease of the residents that find the form difficult to use, the Department has created an online reporting tool. Please keep in mind, this is only to be used for reporting a complaint. If someone chooses to utilize the online reporting tool, they do not need to send an email. DEP staff will be notified immediately upon completion of the online form. Residents are still welcome to report concerns directly to DEP via email, phone, or using the attached weather log – whatever method they find most effective, but we ask they utilize one method per complaint so we don’t have duplication.

If anyone has questions (outside of filing a complaint), the preferred way to communicate is directly with David Smicherko, who is cc’d on this email, and/or me.

Click here to access the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Online form for the Tangerine Area.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Thank you,
