That Smell in Tangerine, Florida and Nearby Neighborhoods

For Zellwood, Tangerine, Surrounding Neighborhoods June 13, 2020 Orange County sent an update on their investigation of the local odors.  Anuvia and Shelleys are dealing with the FDEP. There really isn't a lot of new information here on them. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services inspected Monterey Mushrooms and didn't mention the odor in their report but did mention a sanitation issue. The FDEP issued a warning letter notifying them that they are conducting a formal investigation into the facility’s illegal use of “misters” or “evaporators” to increase the evaporation rate from holding ponds. It appears that they want to fight back on the odor reports.  Please, please continue to report odors. Anuvia’s Consent Order- The Short Version  I am not a lawyer and as a lay person, I wrote this summary mainly to further my understanding of this consent order and am sharing this to help others. Please check the original consent order if you have questions.  The FDEP (state) and EPD (county) have jurisdiction The consent order is directed to Anuvia Their wastewater permit expires on December 8, 2021 Their air permit expires on December 31, 2021 Violations were noted     a.
