Letter from Christine Moore to Northwest Orange County

Hydrogen Sulfide  is one of the chemicals that we're breathing

Many of you received this letter from Commissioner Christine Moore. Mine came yesterday. Based on the way the envelope was addressed, I believe that her office used the mailing address of the first property owner listed with the appraiser's office.
If you rent or lease you may not have received one. In that case, contact Ms. Moore via Facebook Orange County District 2 Commissioner or call her office at 407-836-7350 to get on her list as you should have a voice too.
Quoting her, "...I still have concerns the remediation will be unsuccessful. ... [These businesses] must also be moved to action due to hearing first hand examples of how their odors are substantially altering lives."
We cannot let our work done so far slip away. We need to continue reporting the odors, both to Orange County and to the FDEP. We need to write letters. If you would like to have your letter(s) posted anonymously on the blog, please send it (them) to me and I'll see that it happens. There are 10,000 people affected by this and they need to be heard.

I realize these companies may cry "poverty" but remember that they are multi-million dollar businesses and they need to be pushed to make improvements that will solve the odor problems. In the cases of Anuvia, Shelleys, and Monterey Mushrooms, they are in violation of ordinances that are supposed to prevent these problems.
We cannot let our quality of life and our property values drop due to our failure to do our part.
